Harbor House

In addition to our recovery staff, we have partnered services with specialists to provide the best treatment for young men in recovery. Psychiatrists, facilitators, and educators are among the professionals who partner with our sober living homes in Los Angeles. Many of our partners have worked with us for several years, and all are Harbor House considered part of the New Life family. Sebastian has been participating in drug and alcohol treatment and recovery for over a decade, and has a passion for assisting people as they work through areas of life similar to the ones that he has struggled with.

Through his journey, he discovered the path to manhood and now strives to guide others towards the same profound realization. Maxwell’s commitment and passion are evident in his unwavering support for those seeking a fresh start, and integration into our recovery community. Howard Barker handles all of the outreach and community engagement at Harbor House.

Harbor House

Harbor House’s success in working with young men began to take off once the guys began living with their own peers. Harbor House is not a place where young men are left to get sober alone — it’s a home where the core and chosen family come together to support your loved one at every step of their recovery journey. Our educational program is designed to help young men further their education, earn their next achievements and degrees, and learn fundamental life and relationship skills.

We also partner with professionals to provide clinical services for our program participants. Plain and simple, Harbor House is amazing…it’s hard for me to describe in words how wonderful this program really is. i can truly say that as a mom, they have given me my son back. When he went into the program 15 months ago, he was a shell of himself, with no self esteem, no confidence and no sense of self. He was an active alcoholic who had no idea how to navigate his way through life as an adult without using alcohol to distract him. Throughout his months at new life, he slowly learned how to love himself, to gain confidence and to truly learn what it means to be at peace. Don’t get me wrong, there were plenty of ups and downs and trials and tribulations on both our parts.

Experience

Soon after admitting the younger people, certain things became apparent. The disparity in their emotional ages, social skills, and life experiences was significant enough to require different approaches for each group of men for sobriety. Spending time in a sober living home not only allows you to meet new people and access valuable resources, but it helps prevent relapse. You have worked too hard in your recovery to take that risk, and that is why we are here to help. New Life’s staff is ready to provide you with the support and structure you need to stay on the path to long-term sobriety. Get started now by giving us a call or visiting our admissions page today.

In addition, the NSM seeks to shape international norms around AI use to reflect those same democratic values, and directs actions to track and counter adversary development and use of AI for national security purposes. Today, President Biden is issuing the first-ever National Security Memorandum (NSM) on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The NSM’s fundamental premise is that advances at the frontier of AI will have significant implications for national security and foreign policy in the near future. Patients get valuable peer support, strengthen interpersonal skills, and improve self-awareness. Teaching life skills like cooking, cleaning, clear communication, and even basic math provides a strong foundation for continued recovery. Lance has been participating with New Life for 2 years, and says that some of his best memories have been from his involvement at the houses.
